One thing the wise guys along the Las Vegas Strip try to do is decide when a team is giving up. When making the playoffs is no longer reasonably possible and they’ll stop covering the spread.

Are the Washington Redskins to that point? At 3-7 and a 7-6 loss to Dallas last week, it would be easy for the starch to come out of players. That’s one reason why linesmakers make Philadelphia a 9-point choice on Sunday.

But one thing we’ve noticed is no matter how many injuries Washington suffered, no matter how much their head coach was humiliated, this crew hasn’t surrendered.

So far, that is. We don’t see it this week, either. Take the points in another Washington loss.

    Prediction: Philadelphia 20, Washington (+9) 13, Under 41

    Season record: 13-6-1
